A páscoa é sempre no primeiro Domingo depois da primeira lua cheia depois do equinócio de Primavera (20 de Março).

Esta datação da Páscoa baseia-se no calendário lunar que o povo hebreu usava para identificar a Páscoa judaica, razão pela qual a páscoa é uma festa móvel no calendário romano.

Este ano a Páscoa acontece mais cedo do que qualquer um de nós irá ter alguma vez na sua vida! E só os mais velhos da nossa população viram alguma vez uma Páscoa tão temporã (mais velhos do que 95 anos!).

A próxima vez que a Páscoa vai ser tão cedo como este ano (23 de Março) será no ano 2228 (daqui a 220 anos). A última vez que a páscoa foi assim cedo foi em 1913.

Na próxima vez que a Páscoa for um dia mais cedo, 22 de Março, será no ano 2285 (daqui a 277 anos). A última vez que foi em 22 de Março foi em 1818. Por isso, ninguém que esteja vivo hoje, viu ou irá ver uma Páscoa mais cedo do que a deste ano.

Why you never question a drunk

I was shopping at the local supermarket where I selected:

A litre of milk,
A carton of eggs,
A litre of orange juice,
A head of romaine lettuce,
A 150gr can of coffee, and
A 250gr package of bacon.

As I was unloading my items on the conveyor belt to check out, a drunk standing behind me watched as I placed the items in front of the cashier. While the cashier was ringing up the purchases, the drunk calmly stated, "You must be single."

I was a bit startled by this proclamation, but I was intrigued by the derelict's intuition, since I was indeed single. I looked at the six items on the belt and saw nothing particularly unusual about my selections that could have tipped off the drunk to my marital status.

Curiosity getting the better of me, I said: "Well, you know what, you're absolutely right. But how on earth did you know that?"

The drunk replied, "Cause you're ugly."

Le 2 février, c’est la Chandeleur, appelée aussi la Fête des Chandelles. Tous les ans, la tradition veut que l’on cuisine plein de délicieuses crêpes à déguster avec famille et copains.

Apesar do dia 2 de Fevereiro já ter passado aqui deixo a sugestão de uma receita de crêpes para festejar esta tradição francesa... Como os alunos estão de férias e sei que são gulosos... podem querer experimentar!!! Bon appétit !

Crêpes

• 200g de farinha
• 5 colheres de sopa farinha Maizena
• 1 pitada de sal
• 1 colher de chá fermento
• 3 colheres de sopa de óleo
• 1 copo de água
• 1 copo de leite
• 3 ovos

Bater muito bem todos os ingredientes com a batedeira.
Quantidade: Pouco mais de ½ concha para cada crêpe.
Fritar em frigideira untada com um pouco de óleo.

Os crêpes podem ser doces ou salgados. Eles podem e (devem) ser recheados com compotas, molho de chocolate, caramelo,... ou salpicados com acúcar e canela. Ou então recheados e comidos como salgados com diferentes recheios: bacalhau, carne, peixe, cogumelos, legumes...

No âmbito da disciplina de Ciências Naturais e com a colaboração das professoras de Língua Portuguesa, Francês e Director de Turma, os alunos do 8ºC participaram na oficina "Os Factos da Vida".
"Os Factos da Vida" (Editora Caminha) é um livro de ficção juvenil sobre Ciências da Vida, escrito por Ana Saldanha e cujo lançamento teve lugar no dia 23 de Novembro no Instituto Gulbenkian de ciência, em Oeiras.
"Os Factos da Vida" tem como objectivo geral a sensibilização dos jovens para a ciência, como um processo de pergunta - resposta, em constante evolução e mutação, relevante para as sociedades modernas, e fundamental para o seu desenvolvimento e progresso. Em suma com a leitura de Os Factos da Vida" esperamos contribuir para a desmistificação da imagem do cientista e uma melhor compreensão dos processos e valores da ciência, necessárias ao exercício de uma idadania responsável, junto do público - alvo, jovens entre os 12 e os 14 anos de idade.

Eu gostei muito do livro "Factos da Vida" mas gostei ainda mais da apresentação do livro na Gulbenkian. Foi divertido e deu para conhecer a escritora pessoalmente.

Estou a escrever este pequeno texto só para dizer que achei o livro "Factos da Vida" muito interessante. Vou ser sincero, não li o livro todo mas aquilo que consegui ler achei bastante interessante. Tem de tudo um pouco: coisas que nos fazem rir, pensar, enfrentar a ciência de outra maneira.

Queria agradecer à autora do livro, Ana Saldanha, por me ter dado a oportunidade de conhecê-la e ter um autógrafo seu. Que continue a escrever livros deste potencial que eu prometo ler mais alguns.

A princípio não achei muita graça ao livro; depois fui começando a ler cada vez mais e a perceber o que lia e assim acabei por gostar.

Ao ler aprendi imensa coisa entre elas que os cientistas não calçam meias às cores e não andam despenteados.

A frase que mais me marcou foi a seguinte: "A genética explica os factos da vida. mas uma nova vida é um milagre". Mas havia muitas mais e algumas bem engraçadas.

Gostei imenso da visita de estudo.
